Allelys Heavy Haulage has boosted its fleet and purchased a specialist trailer for transporting gas turbines after securing a £1m funding facility from Lloyds Bank.
The investment enabled the business to invest in a third high girder bridge trailer and also created five new jobs.
Allelys carries out haulage for clients in the rail, electrical, petrochemical and fabrication industries and transports abnormal loads across the UK and Europe.
It previously operated two bridge trailers but the addition of a third has enabled it to transport larger gas turbines for the power generation industry.
“Technology in the power generation industry has continued to evolve as businesses look to ensure greater efficiency in their operations, and we needed to adapt to these changes to maintain our market leading position,” said director David Allely.
Sister company Allelys General Haulage recently joined the Palletways network, covering the WR postcode.
