Agricultural plant specialist Farol has taken delivery of a new drawbar combination comprising a Scania G450B 8x2 chassis with Andover Trailers plant body and triaxle drawbar trailer.

The Andover design includes a hydraulic beavertail and fold-forward ramps, which combine to provide a flat loadbed and maximum deck space on the truck. Plant can be loaded through the trailer without any need to uncouple. With a payload capacity of 18 tonnes, the trailer also features fold-forward, knife-edged flip-toe ramps, providing a shallow loading angle for low ground clearance machines. Eight additional five-tonne D-ring lashing points have been included to allow for a wide range of loads, alongside extra LED lighting on both plant body and trailer. An electric winch and a front mounted 48.5 tonnes/m Fassi crane on the plant body complete the picture.

The new combination will be used by the John Deere dealer to move machinery around the UK and is expected to cover 80,000km to 100,000km a year.
