Apollo Tyres has announced the expansion of its popular EnduRace RT2 truck trailer tyres range with the introduction of new 385/55 size option for 22.5in rims. The Indian-owned tyre manufacturer said this decision demonstrates its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the commercial trucking industry.
Developed and manufactured in Europe, it claims EnduRace RT2 offers exceptional all-weather performance, reduced rolling resistance, and enhanced mileage and durability, but at a cost-effective price.
At the heart of the EnduRace RT2's success is its tread pattern, designed for even wear and uniform pressure distribution. This feature minimises rolling resistance, noise, and overall costs over the tyre's lifespan. Additionally, the reinforced casing and specially formulated tread compound enhance tear-resistance, providing durability levels that exceed European regulatory requirements by 1.7 times.
Drawing on three decades of expertise in all-season tyre development, Apollo Tyres said its global R&D team has ensured that the EnduRace RT2 delivers outstanding grip in wet and winter conditions. The tyre holds the 'three-peak mountain snowflake' certification, guaranteeing optimal performance and safety throughout the year, even on snow-covered roads.
Following the successful launch of the original EnduRace RT in 2017, Apollo Tyres introduced the second generation of the line in 2021. The EnduRace RT2 has since gained popularity among medium- and long-distance hauliers in Europe.
Apollo Tyres secured its first original equipment (OE) deal in the European truck sector last year. Schwarzmüller, one of Europe's leading trailer manufacturers, selected the EnduRace RT2 as OE for its truck trailers. Schwarzmüller produces over 10,000 trailers and truck bodies annually.
The new 385/55 size option for 22.5in rims will be launched later this month.
