The Surrey-based arborist, A Cut Above, has added three new 3.5-tonne Isuzu N35.125T LWB Grafters to its fleet. Supporting a period of growth for the business, the new trucks join a fleet of 15 vehicles. The arboriculture tipper bodies are from Southern Vehicle Bodies and feature split rear barn doors. The trucks will be used to tow chippers and collect green waste from these on site. The body also has collapsible sides to convert the truck into a flatbed for carrying larger equipment and loads.

Andrew Phipps, managing director of A Cut Above, said: “We’ve been specifying Isuzu vehicles for six years now, in fact we’re still using the first 3.5-tonner we purchased back in 2018. The Grafter is a favourite of our drivers thanks to its exceptional manoeuvrability, with a small turning circle that’s ideally suited to the tight spaces we work in every day.

“We chose the long wheelbase option to maximise loadspace, while the chassis lends itself perfectly to the tipper bodies we use. This combination consistently delivers outstanding performance across the fleet.”

Supplied by local Isuzu dealer, Cordwallis Group, the new Grafters will work six days a week, clocking up around 20,000 miles annually. A Cut Above plans to keep the trucks on fleet for around 10 years, supported by repair and maintenance with Cordwallis Group.

Phipps said: “I can’t fault the service we receive from the team at Cordwallis; I can call or drop in at any time and they are always ready and available to help, no matter what it is we need. They deliver a level of support that you rarely see in this industry and are certainly a credit to Isuzu.”

The Grafters come with a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty as standard which also includes 24/7 roadside assistance.
