Contract Hire specialist Axis Fleet Management is launching a mobile on-site R&M division for its UK customers.
The first of the initial mobile maintenance vehicles will come into service in the next six weeks, and the company is now recruiting skilled engineers.
Axis has also invested in new diagnostic equipment for the division. Ian Ashman (pictured), who has nearly 15 years’ experience in mobile fleet maintenance for tractor units and trailers, will head up the unit.
Axis Fleet Management MD Leigh Goodland said: “The new mobile maintenance division marks another positive step forward in being the UK’s market-leading customer-focused fleet management company.
“The significant investment in an in-house R&M service will give us direct control in ensuring our customers enjoy consistently high standards of service across the country.”
