B&T Hicks Transport has joined The Pallet Network (TPN), and will cover Herefordshire postcodes one to nine for the network.

The haulier, which has a fleet of more than 60 tractor-units and has its main base in Newport, also carries out groupage and full load work.

B&T Hicks deport manager Craig Howard said: “We have some very large clients who underpin the bulk of our pallet deliveries, one of whom can fill a trailer very night.

"However, we also have lots of smaller clients whose consignments are just a pallet or two and to be honest, they are important to us."

The haulier will continue to work for Pall-Ex, which it has been with for a number of years, covering the same area as it is now doing for TPN.

Sue Hodgson, director of network services at Pall-Ex, said: “Following the arrival of new Pall-Ex partner Richard Read Transport & Warehousing [from the now defunct UK Pallets], we worked with the team at B&T Hicks Transport to resize the company’s postcode area.

“B&T Hicks Transport is still a member of the Pall-Ex network. It was, however, agreed, that the company would also carry out deliveries on behalf of TPN.”
