The Bevan Group’s ability to handle every aspect of the order was a key factor in an order for 160 new 7.5-tonne bodies for DX.
The whole process was completed within an eight week time-frame and covered everything in-house including body building and fitting, and application of the parcel carrier’s new livery. Mounted on MAN TGL chassis, the Bevan21 curved roof box bodies also feature DEL 1,000kg tuckaway tail-lifts, all of which will be maintained by Bevan’s Aftercare Response division. 46 of the new trucks represent an expansion of the fleet, the remainder replacing existing assets.
DX Group fleet and compliance director Darren Bell says “I’ve only been in the business a little over a year, and this was my first experience of dealing with Bevan Group. I’m happy to confirm that it has surpassed all of my expectations. The order covered a substantial number of vehicles, but Bevan Group committed to a tight, eight-week production schedule, which it then met. It also did so without prejudicing quality, as the bodies are clearly built to a very high standard.”
With headquarters in Wednesbury in the West Midlands, the Bevan Group is a former Commercial Motor Award winner, taking the inaugural Bodybuilder of the Year category in 2017.
