Body manufacturer Bevan Group will launch a new aerodynamic Luton van body at the forthcoming CV Show aimed at the home delivery market.
Bevan Group MD Anthony Bevan claims Icon will have a payload of more than 1,200kg, putting it comfortably ahead of other recently launched products. "This will certainly be a big attraction to operators keen to squeeze as many deliveries from their vehicles as possible.
"Add the fact that our new body can help them to cut their fuel bills and carbon footprints, and also has a fantastic on-road presence, and the case for the Icon becomes compelling," he says.
Manchester-based Alloy Bodies recently launched an aerodynamic Luton body called the Curve, and Cartwright Group introduced its Cheetah Cub, which uses a ramp/door system for load access taken from technology used for ambulances.
