Bridgestone has launched two new tyres, the Bridgestone M-Steer 002 and Bridgestone M-Drive 002. The new products will be available across Europe from January 2025. Bridgestone's latest truck tyre offering is suited to fleets that operate in on- and off-road environments.

Compared with the previous generation, these tyres have been improved to offer up to 20% more wear. The Bridgestone M-Drive 002 tread pattern is optimised for good off-road traction and both tyres feature a robust casing to protect against chips, cuts and chunk damage. Fuel efficiency is also said to be improved thanks to lowering rolling resistance by more than 10%.

The new tyres have been developed with retreading in mind so fleets can extend tyre life and improve sustainability. Retreading also helps to reduce waste and lowers operational costs. Bridgestone M-Steer 002 will be available in sizes: 315/80 R22.5, 13 R22.5, and 385/65 R22.5. The Bridgestone M-Drive 002 will be sold in sizes: 315/80 R22.5 and 13 R22.5. More sizes are expected to be added next year.

Waqqas Ahmad, commercial sales director at Bridgestone EMEA said: “Bridgestone’s new mild On/Off truck tyres have the durability to perform in a wide variety of surface conditions from asphalt and gravel to sand and mud. We are confident that the innovation behind the new Bridgestone M-Steer 002 and M-Drive 002 tyres will not only give fleets additional confidence and ensure exceptional performance but also deliver significant benefits that lead to a lower total cost of ownership for fleets and long-term environmental value for OEMs.”

Fleets will be able to fit the new Bridgestone M-Steer 002 and Bridgestone M-Drive 002 as part of the Bridgestone fleet care platform. This solution combines tyre maintenance and data along with service solutions and fleet management tools in one place.
