Cartwright Group has made two senior appointments and opened a new fleet maintenance and refurbishment facility.
Richard Anderson has joined the group, known for its trailers, as sales director. Anderson, who moves from an undisclosed competitor, has overall responsibility for sales and marketing.
Anderson said: “I was attracted not only by the history of Cartwright and its reputation but its recent development and the fact that I will be part of a new chapter in the company.”
Lionel Curtis has also been recruited as Cartwright’s new technical director. He was previously engineering manager at trailer manufacturer Gray & Adams.
Mark Cartwright, who took the reins at the group earlier this year, expressed his delight at the key appointments.
Cartwright’s Fleet Services division has opened a maintenance, repair and refurbishment facility at its Wythenshawe site in south Manchester.
The launch is the first of a number of planned workshop facilities across the UK, which will complement the division’s fleet of 22 mobile vans.
A staff of around 20 is employed at the new facility comprising maintenance technicians, double deck trailer specialists, bodywork repairers and vehicle sprayers and painters. It has six bays and a paint booth.
