Cartwright Group’s Scotland office, which it opened in March, has secured its first major order, striking a deal with Pollock (Scotrans).

The Bathgate-based haulier has ordered ten tri-axle curtainsider trailers from Cartwright and is expected to take delivery of them this October.

Cartwright will also supply between 30 to 50 standard straight-frame curtainsiders to Pollock on a rental basis.

Derek Howie, head of Cartwright’s office in Scotland, said: “We are particularly delighted with this order from Pollock as it is the first major new build order since our Scottish office opened a few months ago.”

Mark Jackson, director at Pollock, added that “price, quality of product and availability” were the reason his company had selected Cartwright.
