HGV accident repair specialist C&C Vehicle Services has appointed Mark Newnes as operations director.
Newnes, 47, will be responsible for the continued expansion of the Oldham-based firm’s skills, team, services and customer base, and will work alongside MD Adam Nanyn, youngest son of founder Tony Nanyn.
For the past 12 years he was at Fraikin where, as operations director, he was responsible for a fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles, 10 branches and co-ordinated a national network of authorised third-party workshops.
“At Fraikin I worked with the team at C&C on a major project to refurbish and reconfigure more than 200 trailers for rental, which allowed me to see the skills of the team and their commitment to delivering first-class customer service,” said Newnes.
C&C has been established for 35 years and moved to its 25,000ft2 facility - on the site of former Seddon Atkinson truck manufacturing plant - in 2008.
It employs a team of 40, offering minor body and panel repairs as well as complex chassis re-alignment and complete accident rebuilds, bodybuilding and fleet refurbishment.
