Family-run Daf dealer Chassis Cab has added two new breakdown service vans to its fleet.
The dealership says the vehicles, supplied by long-term business partner Drive Vauxhall, will help keep its DAFAid roadside assistance service running smoothly.
Chassis Cab, which has sites at Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Cambridge and Isleham, also has another three models on order with Drive Vauxhall.
This will bring Chassis Cab’s current fleet of Vauxhall breakdown service support and parts vans to 53.
Models on the Chassis Cab roadside service and parts fleet include New Vivaro, Movano, Combo and new Corsavan.
The DAFAid back-up vans are fitted with tooling for roadside assistance work as well as recovery operations.
Robert Baxter, dealer principal, Chassis Cab, said: ‘We have been purchasing support vehicles from Drive Vauxhall for over 15 years now.
“The vans are highly-performing in that they are efficient, versatile and clean, much like the trucks they are helping to keep in service. In these times of rigorous vehicle emissions legislation, all vehicles on the road need to be both green and clean.
“Drive Vauxhall and Chassis Cab have established a relationship where we work together simply and effectively to provide a polished service to truck drivers, who need quick and reliable support when they are on the road.”
Marcus Popham, new and used vehicle group manager at Drive Vauxhall, said: ‘We have a long history of working with Chassis Cab, and an association that goes back to the time when the business was run by the much-respected founder David Ruffles.
“It is a pleasure to still be supplying commercial vehicles on a regular basis to the team which is now overseen by David’s daughter Sally Ruffles.”
