

A County Armagh-based operator has been fined £400 for drivers’ hours and tachograph offences.
Craigavon Magistrates Court was told how a truck operated by Christopher Hughes Transport was stopped by DVA enforcement officers on 27 November 2016. Several drivers’ hours and tachograph records offences were found to have been committed.
The company, based in Eglish Road, Annaghmore, was fined £150 on each of two occasions of the driver failing to record data on 23 and 24 November 2016.
It was also fined £100 for the vehicle’s tachograph not being calibrated correctly, and was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
