Citroën has launched a dual-fuel version of its Dispatch van together with an uprated petrol model boasting 140hp and improved standard equipment across the range.
The 2.0-litre petrol/LPG van has been converted by Nicholson McLaren Engines, which already has dual-fuel engines running in the Nemo and Berlingo. It produces 140hp and includes a 77 - litre LPG tank mounted in place of the spare wheel.
Citroën claims it has the same performance characteristics as the standard petrol engine and meets all current European vehicle legislation.
Priced at £12,965, the dual-fuel Dispatch is available as part of Citroën's Ready to Run programme.
Also available is a 140hp petrol version in L1H1 guise, powered by a 2.0-litre 16-valve engine producing 180Nm of torque. It is fitted with air-con, electric windows and adjustable heated mirrors, along with twin sliding doors and remote central locking. Trip computer capability (now standard on all Dispatch models) provides information on range, current and average fuel consumption, as well as average speed and distance travelled. Priced at £15,570, the 140 has been introduced primarily for conversion to dual-fuel operation.
