We visited Mercedes-Benz dealer City West Commercials in the West Country and saw this 2014 Mercedes-Benz Actros Bigspace Evolution 2545LS with single bunk (pictured).
The 64-plate tractor unit is the second example of the manufacturer’s Evolution series of special edition used vehicles, the first of which sold to JJP Holdings SW Group (CM 16 November). The truck, with 12-speed PowerShift 3 automatic gearbox and sliding fifth wheel, comes with Alcoa alloy wheels, Kelsa bars with spotlights, 450-litre alloy fuel tank, reversing buzzer, cruise control and lane assist. There is a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave and blue leather seats. It is available for £59,995 plus VAT and has clocked up 285,500km.
Also on the forecourt was a 2014 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2548LS GigaSpace tractor unit, with twin bunks, alloy wheels and on-board weighing system. The 14-plate truck, with 12-speed PowerShift automatic transmission, has an alloy tank, fridge and beacons. It is priced at £46,995 plus VAT and has nearly 286,000km on the clock.
Another truck that caught our eye was a 2012 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2545LS Gigaspace tractor unit, with single bed and alloy wheels. The 12-plate truck, which produces 450hp, has automatic transmission and fridge. It is available for £28,995 plus VAT and has covered nearly 385,000km. All three were painted in October.
