Asset Alliance Group
A winner in this category in 2017, Asset Alliance Group has gone from strength to strength. Its 2018 turnover forecast stands at £44m, 45% up on last year and it almost doubled its asset-based lending facility to £145m. It also increased its total managed fleet by 90% to almost 3,400 vehicles, achieved a 98% first-time MoT pass rate, launched a traffic management division and expanded its flexi-hire offer. Asset Alliance has also recorded multiple contract renewals and target-beating levels of new business in 2018.

Mac’s Truck Rental & Leasing
Mac’s Truck Rental & Leasing’s USP is offering a diverse fleet and the ability to build a rental vehicle to specification. It also offers full servicing and tacho checks at its 4.6-acre facility near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Initially developed as a means of providing a stop gap vehicle for customers while they wait for a truck in build, Mac’s now has a rental fleet 48 vehicles. Head of rental Selena Mcdade said: “Our aim is that customers feel like they aren’t just another number, we understand their needs and requirements. We offer customers complete control of crafting their ideal vehicle and assisting in any aftersales care.”

Hexagon Leasing
Hexagon Leasing puts its 14% turnover growth over the past 12 months, as well as the 35% expansion of its operational staff, down to the £29m investment in its fleet assets and the launch of its HexFlex and Trux4All offerings. The HexFlex package allows a business to set its own mileage restrictions, with minimum rental terms ranging from 12 to 48 months, while Trux4All offers a range of good-quality used trucks and vans to buy online at competitive prices. The investment in the fleet means that utilisation stands at 91%, and it backs up its service via its Simply Objects operating system. Every vehicle is logged into the system - which the customer can also access - with an image, specification, full service history, details of whether it has been in an accident, as well as information on who is leasing it.

Rothdean
Rothdean has a pool of more than 250 vehicles, trailers and plant available for long- or short-term hire or lease options either plain or in customer livery. Vehicles are predominantly tippers, moving floor and tankers. Running from its three sites in Cinderford, Gloucestershire, totalling 46 acres, Rothdean has more than five decades of experience in the market.
