Assetminder
Assetminder is a cloud- and mobile-based fleet maintenance management system, offering maintenance planning, workshop management, a driver inspection app, defect management and workshop inspection app. The system optimises fleet and workshop operations and drives efficiency, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership, while increasing asset availability. It also helps operators run compliant and safe fleets. Assetminder is derived from the successful Fleetminder software suite, which is used by more than 200 transport operators and workshops throughout the UK and Ireland. Customers include Glanbia, STL Logistics, Carna Transport, the National Ambulance Service, Surefreight and AW Jenkinson. The system enables operators to manage and measure internal as well as external maintenance workshops and suppliers.
Neutral Steer
West Midlands-based operator John English developed the Neutral Steer product to rectify the problem of left drift, which affects some 6x2 twin-steer tractor units in the UK when cruising in a straight line. English, who had been investigating tyre wear on his vehicles for more than 10 years, found the simple addition of axle packing blocks - or in some cases a reverse fitment of the standard set-up - on the nearside to counteract the effect of road camber on the steering and tyres delivered great benefits regarding handling, tyre life, fuel consumption and straight line stability. The system can also reduce driver fatigue incurred through constantly correcting to the right on long sections of motorway.
r2c Online
The Exemplar Workshop software package from r2c Online includes smart technology. For the first time, technicians can use hands-free inspection technology, with voice control and smart eyewear, that results in greater job efficiency and overall workshop productivity. The software allows technicians to connect with remote experts for advice in real time, and the inspection data is reported back into the system, which means better communication with the workshop manager and fleet customers. The Exemplar Workshop management package reduces time spent on maintenance administration and vehicles being off the road. The system covers all key performance indicators for Earned Recognition; electronic scheduling and service records; digital driver checks and defect management; third-party tacho integration; electronic MoT reporting and digital vehicle files.
