Commercial Motor dealer drop-in: Britcom

This week CM visited Britcom’s head office in Market Weighton and saw a selection of quality vehicles for sale.

In the yard there was this 2013 MAN TGS 26.440 6x2 rear-lift with LX cab, TipMatic 12-speed gearbox, 29ft curtain-sided body and tuckaway tail-lift (pictured). The truck has air suspension and cruise control and has clocked up 381,000km. It is priced at £34,950.

A vehicle that stood out was a 2012 Volvo FM 460 6x2 tractor unit with Globetrotter cab and I-Shift 12-speed gearbox. It has 791,000km on the clock and is priced at £18,500.

Another tractor unit that caught our eye was a 2013 MAN TGX 26.440 6x2 with XLX cab and TipMatic 12-speed gearbox. The truck has a sliding fifth wheel and full air deflector kit. It has covered 578,000km and costs £14,500.

Britcom, established in 1981, sells used tractor units, rigids, trailers and vans, as well as plant equipment, to 65 countries worldwide. Its Market Weighton site employs 75 people, has offices and a storage yard for more than 300 vehicles. Its workshops have a shotblasting facility, bodyshop and a paintshop with low bake spray booths.
