This week we went to Cardiff to visit the Euro Commercials showroom, which has sold Mercedes-Benz trucks for 35 years.
The dealership’s entrance is through a smart, well-staffed reception area that makes you feel welcome from the start.
It has several sales and service sites along the M4 corridor, with others in Swansea and Newport. This network enables it to offer 24-hour servicing and extended opening hours with Mercedes qualified technicians.
On our visit, several new trucks caught our eye, including a 2017 Actros 2551 with a GigaSpace cab (pictured). This Euro-6 tractor unit is a 6x2 with Predictive Powertrain Control, Bluetooth and painted detachable body parts.
Nearby was an Arocs 1824 skiploader 4x2. The ClassicSpace cab features Bluetooth, along with air-con, radio and CD player. The cab has a tilting mechanism and two remote control keys.
A third vehicle on view was another Arocs, this time the 3243 - a 2017 model with a Fruehauf tipper body. This also has the detachable body parts painted in Andorite grey metallic paint, a Load Lite steel body, a reversing buzzer and tip controls in the ClassicSpace cab.
