Wednesbury, West Midlands-based C&W Commercials had an impressive collection of used trucks on the forecourt when CM visited.

The family-owned firm was formed in 2002 and sells used tractor units, tippers, sweepers and skip-loaders.

One vehicle that caught our eye was a 2012 Daf CF85.360 8x2 beavertail with day cab and AS-Tronic gearbox (pictured). The 61-plate truck features a 32ft Sterling-built body with long ramps, a winch and rear-lift steering axle. The vehicle, which has covered 321,000km, is MoT’d until February 2018 and includes a three-month driveline warranty.

Also on display was a 2013 Daf LF55.220 4x2 skip-loader featuring Hyva skip-loading equipment with telescopic arms. The 63-plate day cab with manual gearbox has an electric sheeting system, 265,000km on the clock and is MoT’d until September. It comes with a three month driveline warranty and 12-month Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations test.

Another smart vehicle was this 2012 Daf XF105.460 tractor unit with Super Space Cab and AS-Tronic gearbox. The 62-plate truck has twin bunks, a fridge and driver arm rest.

C&W has a choice of similar vehicles available, all with MoTs expiring in December 2017.
