Commercial Motor’s dealer drop-in: Scania South West

This week we visited Scania South West in Avonmouth, Bristol, which had a good selection of quality used trucks on its forecourt. The dealer, close to the M5 and M49, is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and by appointment on Saturday and Sunday.

One truck that caught our eye was a 2013 Scania R480 6x2/2 tractor unit with Highline cab (pictured). It has covered 393,000km and includes full dealer service history, tipping hydraulics, two-pedal Opticruise gearbox with retarder, and leather driver seat and kitchen pack. Scania South West has a choice of two similar tractors available.

Also on the forecourt was a 2015 Scania R520 6x2/4 tractor unit with Topline sleeper cab. This 15-plate vehicle, which has clocked up 538,000km and includes full-dealer service history, comes with two-pedal Opticruise transmission with retarder, kitchen pack and DuraBrite lights. The dealer has a choice of three similar trucks available.

Finally, there was a 2012 Scania R440 4x2 low-ride tractor unit with Topline sleeper cab. The 12-plate truck, which has 296,000km on the clock, includes full dealer service history, has three-pedal Opticruise transmission and a kitchen pack.
