Previously based in Hemel Hempstead, Commercial Vehicle Auctions (CVA) has announced the company is relocating to a new facility in Bedford. The purpose-built site is larger than its existing location to support business growth.
Jonathan Earp, operations director said: “This relocation marks a new chapter in delivering the best possible experience for our customers. With enhanced access, upgraded facilities, and advanced technology, we’re making the auction process easier, faster, and more efficient for our customers. We look forward to welcoming both buyers and vendors to Bedford.”
CVA was based at its Hemel Hempstead site for 12 years. The new facility was designed to improve the customer experience and streamline operations. Key features include an efficiency-focused design, improved access, modern workshops and upgraded technology to make the process easier for buyers and vendors.
With the relocation, CVA will continue to auction a range of commercial vehicles, plant and machinery including everything from trucks and vans to diggers and cranes. The new site has access to better transport links and with improved customer facilities, CVA hopes to attract more auction goers.
The Bedford location joins CVA’s other hubs in Doncaster and Livingston in Scotland. Its vendors include hauliers, food retailers, vehicle rental companies, finance groups and local authorities. CVA has been auctioning commercial vehicles for more than three decades.
As well as its physical locations, CVA hosts online auctions and has digital valuation tools to help vendors understand how much their vehicle is potentially worth with truck, van, trailer and plant estimates.
The company is part of the Ballyvesey Group, a collection of businesses working in transport and logistics, construction and property. Formed in 1970, the group is the parent company of truck sales and aftersales support, trailer manufacturing and spare parts sales, transport industry services, construction equipment sales, and property rental and development businesses.
