Michael Cooke has stepped down from his post of managing director of City Link - and has been replaced by Petar Cvetkovic. Cooke had been MD of City Link for 10 years according to a statement, his "departure comes after he has realised his recent objective of completing the company's franchisee buy-back programme and the first wave of the integration process of the City Link and Target Express operations".
Cvetkovic, who led the sale of Target to City Link in 2006, takes over with immediate effect. "I'm looking forward to leading the business into the next phase of its transformation. I want us to become the most customer-centric parcels carrier in the UK." The integration of City Link and Target is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
