With carbon-reduction a core focus for hauliers and their customers, the latest generation of sustainable ‘drop-in’ fuels, such as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), could provide the answer.
Freight in the City has therefore partnered with DAF Trucks to bring to life the potential of using HVO across your fleet in a topical webinar taking place on Wednesday 16 June.
You will learn from DAF Trucks how HVO is compatible with existing Euro-6 models without needing any engine modifications and how the fuel plays a key part in the manufacturer’s environmental strategy.
While supplier Green Biofuels will be on hand to talk through the practical aspects of Green D+ HVO’s properties, from emissions reduction through to different options for refuelling, availability and costs.
Well-known bakery Hovis is already using HVO across its national fleet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to learn from its on-road experience from head of logistics operations support Tony Stuart.
HVO is featured in the recently launched Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme from Zemo Partnership, which provides independent verification for operators that all high-blend renewable fuels meet three key performance criteria: lifecycle GHG emissions; feedstock sustainability and supply chain traceability.
