Culina unveils new logo

Culina Logistics has unveiled its new corporate livery following its merger with Baylis Logistics.

The design will be introduced on the company's UK-based chilled trucks and trailers, before being rolled out to all new commissioned vehicles.

Baylis Logistics and Culina Logistics merged at the start of 2008.

Thomas van Mourik, Culina chief executive, says: "The bold new livery is a statement of intent. It reflects our clear goal to provide high-quality logistics solutions and firmly establish Culina as the premier food and drink supply chain specialist."

The company also revealed plans to open a ninth major distribution centre.

The new 190,000ft2 facility at Haverhill on the Suffolk and Essex border is scheduled to open in mid-2008.

Isuzu launches new Forward trucks

Isuzu will expand its product line-up this year, with the launch of its new range of 11-, 12-, 15- and 18-tonners at this year's CV Show (15-17 April). The 'Forward' trucks feature a new cab and will be offered with Isuzu's existing Euro 4 EGR engines. They will come with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The trucks will be rolled out during the course of the year, starting with 11- and 12-tonners in May/June and 15- and 18-tonners in October/November.
