On its stand 4J48, US tail lift manufacturer Maxon will be showing four of its most popular products, three of which have just received UK approval for rear under run protection devices.

These are the MAX15T and MAX10T (pictured), 1,500kg and 1,000kg capacity Tuk-A-Way lifts, and the MAX15C 1,500kg capacity conventional cantilever lift.  The MAX15T has two cylinders and a half-steel, half-aluminium or full-aluminium platform and works for floor heights of 1,016 to 1,370mm.

The MAX10T is designed for trucks of 7.5t to 12t GVW, and will accept standard roll cages and pallets. The MAX15C is designed for trucks of 13t to 26t GVW and semi-trailers where a large platform area is required.

Maxon will also be showing its MAX10/15R, part of its Railift range which use two vertical hydraulic cylinders rather than one cylinder and a system of chains or pulleys to minimise maintenance costs.

According to Maxon UK sales manager Roy Taylor, the company has a had a positive year, with significant orders from fleets such as DHL, Yusen, Poundland and TK Maxx. One of Maxon’s biggest customers in the US is truck rental Ryder and its is in talks with some of the UK’s major truck makers.
