Hull-based D&P Haulage has joined Palletways, taking on coverage of the HU postcode area.
D&P joined the United Pallet Network (UPN) in January 2012 with the same postcode coverage. The company was unavailable for comment in regards the reason for its move as this article was published.
However, in a statement D&P Haulage principal Paul Charlton said: “We are delighted to be a fully-fledged Palletways member and are excited with the opportunities that being part of Europe’s largest palletised freight network affords.”
Palletways UK MD Luis Zubialde said: “I am pleased to welcome D&P Haulage to the network. Demand for palletised freight services has risen rapidly over recent months as the global economy continues its recovery and I look forward to utilising their experience to grow our business even further in East Yorkshire.”
Leicester's Widdowson Group has also joined the Palletways network and will cover the eastern LE postcodes in Leicestershire & Rutland.
Paul Turner, head of sales at Widdowson, said: “We are delighted to be a fully-fledged Palletways member and are excited with the opportunities that being part of Europe’s largest palletised freight network affords.”
