Farmer and haulier Frank Redman & Sons of Lower Gravenhurst, Beds, has bought an 18-tonne Daf CF65 curtainsider to collect potatoes from farms and distribute them to fish and chip shops around the county. It replaces a 65 Series that had given more than 14 years of dependable service in this role.

Graham Redman, who drives the truck, decided an automatic would make life a little easier when making up to 17 drops a day to shops that are often in busy high-street locations. The vehicle was supplied by Marshalls of Cambridge Redman's will handle the servicing in-house.
