Used truck of the week is a DAF XF 105 Super Space Cab, which, on the face of it, might seem like an odd choice but when we saw the mileage we had to bring it to your attention. It’s covered 500,000km since it was registered in 2014, not bad for 4.5 years, and if you’re after a Euro-5 vehicle, this should be of serious interest.
The 460hp 6x2 with midlift axle has a full Daf main dealer service history and comes with almost everything on it, including forward-facing cameras, fridge, microwave and leather trim. It’s got a full air management kit, 480-litre fuel tank, 12-month MoT and premium-brand tyres with 7mm of tread on them.
The engine is a PACCAR 12.9-litre MX unit, while the gearbox comes from ZF with this truck getting the 12-speed manual Ecosplit transmission rather than the AS-Tronic 12-speed auto or the 16-speed manual that was standard on earlier examples of the XF 105. Painted in white with a blue chassis, the bodywork is also in good condition.
This Daf is also one of the last Euro-5 XFs Secondhand Trucks will be selling, and with a low mileage like this it’s sure to drum up considerable interest. Secondhand Trucks provides a 3-month warranty on the vehicle as standard, but an additional warranty of up to 36 months can be added. With so few good-quality late Euro-5s in the market we expect this unit to go particularly quickly.
