Daf has supplied its 50,000th MultiSupport truck repair and maintenance contract in the UK. The manufacturer signed the deal with bakery Warburtons, which runs a mix of Daf and Mercedes-Benz tractors and rigids.
Warburtons has 800 vehicles on MultiSupport contracts and its depots work closely with Daf dealerships. The manufacturer started offering the in-house repair and maintenance service contract to operators in 2001 and has processed 4.25 million claims since.
About 40% of Daf trucks are covered by the contract, with hauliers able to choose the service level and contractual terms on a fixed price/km basis. Sales of MultiSupport repair and maintenance contracts have doubled since 2014, Daf said.
