Dawsonrentals has delivered 11 Mercedes-Benz Atego 15-tonners with Lawrence David box bodies and Dhollandia tail-lifts to the supply chain arm of NHS Wales.
The vehicle hire company won a Crown Commercial Services tender to supply the trucks to NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP). Four of them are based at a distribution centre in Denbigh, North Wales, with the rest at another facility in Bridgend, South Wales.
Tony Chatfield, head of operations for the overall health courier services operation in NWSSP, said: “The procurement process was a robust test to ensure we obtained value for money while delivering high-quality vehicle specification. Naturally the new trucks are all specified to deliver an environmentally clean performance, and all meet the highest standards of safety and economy.”
