Dealer drop-in: Britcom

Commercial Motor
October 10, 2016

Commercial Motor dropped into Britcom in Market Weighton in East Yorkshire last week. There was a cracking display, including a 2014 Euro-6 Daf CF220 curtainsider.

At 18-tonnes GVW, with a 28ft body and only 114,000km on the clock, we don’t expect it to hang around long! Nor would a 2014 Euro-6 Mercedes-Benz 1824 Actros curtainsider that has done 132,000km or the six 2010 Euro-5 Scania P280 refrigerated 26-tonners.

We were also impressed with the choice of truck cab to rear lift chassis cab conversions on Euro-5 MAN TGS bodies. It has a wide range of wheelbase and bodies built to specification. All of Britcom’s trucks go through an inspection process and a good level of preparation and servicing before going on sale.

Finance can be arranged as required. The 2013 MAN TGS chassis cabs are a great example of its ‘one-stop-shop’ approach to providing a flexible offering, from buying a tractor unit, having the chassis extended. It can also build all types of bodies and trailers to specification and paint the vehicle in customers’ livery.
