Dealer drop-in: Britcom, Market Weighton

Britcom, established in 1981, sells quality used tractor units, rigids, trailers and vans, as well as plant equipment, to 65 countries worldwide.This week CM visited its head office in Market Weighton and saw an impressive selection of vehicles on display.

One vehicle that caught our eye was this Volvo FM460 6x2 tractor unit (pictured) from 2012, available for £18,500. The 62-plate truck features a 13-litre DXI engine, Globetrotter sleeper cab and I-Shift gearbox.

Another truck that stood out was a 62-plate Volvo FH13 6x2 tractor. The 2012 truck also has the 13-litre 460hp DXI engine, Globetrotter XL sleeper cab and I-Shift gearbox and is priced at £23,500 (plus VAT). We also saw a 2014 Daf CF220 4x2 curtainsider which has 114,053km on the clock, price on application. The 14-plate truck with 28ft body includes sleeper cab, manual gearbox, air suspension, and barn doors.

Britcom’s Market Weighton facility has offices and a storage yard for more than 300 vehicles. The workshops have a shot-blasting facility, bodyshop and a paintshop with low bake spray booths where trucks, trailers and tankers can be repaired, painted and refurbished.
