Thomas Hardie Used Trucks sells some 350 trucks a year from its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, mainly to customers across the UK and Ireland.
Its second-hand sales centre has 150 used Volvos for sale at any one time. When CM visited last week we saw a 2014 FH4 6x2 tractor unit with Globetrotter cab. It produces 460hp and has clocked up 272,000km. It comes with I-Shift gearbox, tipping gear and luxury trim. It also includes full Volvo service history and two-year manufacturer driveline warranty.
Also on the forecourt was this 2010 FM11 6x2 with sleeper cab and curtain-sided body (pictured). The 330hp truck has an I-Shift gearbox, full manufacturer service history, one-year Volvo driveline warranty, 1.5-tonne Dhollandia cantilever tail-lift, 9-tonne front axle, rear air suspension, and 411,000km on the clock.
Another vehicle that caught our eye was a 2013 FH13 6x2 tractor unit with Globetrotter XL cab. The 500hp vehicle has clocked up 499,000km, includes full manufacturer service history, I-Shift gearbox, comfort trim and one-year Volvo driveline warranty. The dealer has two similar vehicles for sale.
