Suffolk firm Debach Enterprises has added three new Volvo FH480 tractors to its fleet as part of a 10-vehicle acquisition programme. The I-Shift-equipped trucks will join three similar units and four FL 18-tonne GVW rigids, all purchased from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre, East Anglia.

Transport manager Denis Fairs says: "It really is a matter of repairs at the flick of a switch." The Ipswich-based Volvo dealership will be handling maintenance on a five-year R&M contract.

The units will haul aerodynamic, double-deck Wilson trailers. Fairs adds: "On jobs like multi-drop and overnight hub runs, where their gooseneck construction isn't an issue, the fuel savings they offer will be a significant factor."
