Dennison Commercials celebrated the 40th anniversary of its Newry depot with a staff reunion.

Depot manager at Newry Malachy Martin and MD at Dennison Commercials, John Jenkins, met founding partners Dan O’Hare and Eugene O’Reilly as well as former depot manager Sean McCracken at the depot on Martins Lane.

Martin, who has worked at the Newry branch for nearly 38 years, said: “Over the years I’ve seen the same customers coming back because they know the Volvo brand is reliable and that we are committed to providing them with a quality aftersales service.”

Initially the Newry depot only serviced trucks and stocked some parts, but it now offers new and used Volvo trucks, rental, full service, bodywork and new and used all-makes parts. It recently refurbished its reception, staff and driver areas.

The business opened in 1976 as Newry Commercials, on the Win Business Park. It later moved to the Greenbank Industrial Estate and became incorporated with Dennison Commercials in 1993. The business moved into the Martins Lane site in 1998.
