Car transporter specialist DF Services (Kent) has taken delivery of 10 Iveco Stralis 6x2 tractor units and accompanying Rolfo Ego transporters in a contract hire deal with Fraikin.
Under the seven-year agreement the Sheerness-based company will use its own workshop to carry out all repair and maintenance work, while Fraikin will manage the fleet.
They will replace 10 older vehicles in its 54-strong transporter fleet and cover about 75,000 miles each year. DF Services (Kent) transports cars and vans across the UK and continental Europe working with Citroën, Honda, Isuzu, Peugeot and Subaru.
DF Services (Kent) commercial director Justin Eynon said: “It has been tailor-made and we can combine Fraikin’s expertise in funding and fleet management with our on-site workshop, allowing us to conduct repairs out-of-hours to reduce vehicle downtime.”
