CV Show 2012: Double offering from MAN to ease operators’ burdens

MAN is offering two new services that should make life easier for operators running used trucks. It has introduced what it claims is faster, more competitive and more accurate service price quoting.

Vince Welsh, MAN aftersales director in the UK, says: “Getting service and maintenance prices has been too time-consuming. Some operators were waiting 15 minutes or longer while our support teams interrogated data for each individual job. That just wasn’t good enough, so we’ve done something about it.”

That something is the Menu Pricing service, available by phone or direct at MAN’s service centres. “We analysed parts, labour and other aspects of 800 common service requests to produce fixed and competitive ‘local’ prices,” says Welsh. “Now when operators ask for quotes, they get firm, fair and accurate prices in around 15 seconds.”

The second initiative is MAN Comfort Managed: budgeted R&M agreements for any vehicle or trailer, regardless of make or age, putting them on ‘pay as you go’ or ‘monthly budget’ plans.
