DSV acquires Unicargo

DSV has acquired Norwegian freight forwarder Unicargo for an undisclosed sum. The deal is subject to approval by the Norwegian competition authority. Unicargo specialises in road freight forwarding to Eastern Europe and Turkey, and has revenue of NOK52m (£4.9m) and pre-tax profits of NOK3.5m. DSV intends to integrate the company into its Norwegian road division and expects the operational changes to be completed within two years.

Lobby groups use IAA Hannover to call for LHVs

Hydraulic Discharge Equipment launches Load King
Hydraulic Discharge Equipment (HDE) has launched the Load King, which is a Renault Kerax fitted with a steel muckaway tipper body. The combination of 8x4 Kerax 410.32 and 15m3 pressed square shaped steel and insulated body is a joint venture between the Carlisle-based Renault Trucks distributor, Border Trucks, and HDE.
