Edge Transport has marked its 85th anniversary in business with the arrival of a Volvo FE.
It is the latest Volvo truck delivery of several made to the company this year.
The new FE was supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials. Volvo trucks make up all but two of Edge Transport’s fleet of 35.
Edge Transport’s new Volvo will assist with its Palletline deliveries and collections, in addition to the company’s increasing general haulage requirements.
The company’s association with Volvo trucks goes back to the 1980s and its first truck from Thomas Hardie Commercials arrived in 2012. Edge Transport’s Volvo fleet are all procured on contract hire for five-year period and delivered with full-life, Volvo Gold Service Contracts.
Founded in 1933 by Alfred Edge in Chester, Edge Transport is still owned and operated by the third generation of the same family.
