Hemel Hempstead-based Trailer Resources, which supplies trailers on contract hire and rental – as well as providing fleet maintenance services – has won rave reviews from Eezehaul for the supply of 12 trailers to its fleet.
Eezehaul finance director Jane Jones told CM that the Crawley-based operator had been introduced to Trailer Resources, through its membership of pallet network TPN at a time when the business was shopping around to replace trailers coming to the end of their lease.
“We shopped around on pricing. Trailer Resources was incredibly flexible regarding things like replacement vehicles. It pulled all the stops out to get what we need,” she said.
“It also gave us a range of options on maintenance and servicing. The quality of its PMI schedules and the detail of them was outstanding. It rarely came to us with problems.”
Eezehaul transport manager John Cook has also had to get to grips with a new spec trailer, supplied by Trailer Resources, for part of its fleet running TPN work. “It has super-single tyres. This is becoming standard across the TPN fleet. It comes with an internal sliding net. This makes it easier for the guys at night-time. They have assured me that this spec is the way forward.”
One of the trailers runs in the livery of toys and games manufacturer Zappies, an Eezehaul customer – and Jones said: “The Zappies trailer is a collaboration with a customer we have a close working relationship with – and a significant part of its growth is being handled by Eezehaul.
“The Christmas peak has been going strong for a few weeks, and the trailer is out every day. A lot of its stuff goes through Amazon. We do a lot of pick and pack for Zappies, either palletised or smaller parcels. And the trailer looks lovely, it is fairly noticeable.”
