LV Shipping has taken delivery of a new fleet of curtainsiders from TIP Trailer Services. They will be used to carry steel pipes and other related products on behalf of
Van Leeuwen.

The Middlesbrough-based company opted for a selection of Krone Profi-Liner standard and high-cube units that have been designed specifically for steel pipe transportation.

Eight new units will join the fleet in total, with three high cube trailers that are 4.519m high and five standard curtainsiders. They are fitted with additional slot-in side ports, as well as Krone’s own sliding roof system and Multi-Lock load restraints which provide strapping points at 100mm intervals along both side raves enabling the load to be safely secured at any point along the trailers.

TIP Trailer Services international strategic account manager David George said: “Once again, LV Shipping has returned to TIP to extend its UK fleet. The trailers were specified through close consultation with the Krone UK sales team, come with a 10-year anti-corrosion paint warranty and are certified to European standard code XL – factors which make it possible for us to offer a long-term lease and then take the equipment back with confidence into our rental fleet at the end of the contract.”

LV transport manager Richard Dyer said the Krone Profi-Liners ticked every box for the company and its work.

He said the trailers are: “Fast, secure and have flexible loading with a greater side aperture than other options. Overall, in terms of round-the-clock service and high-quality trailers, we are in secure hands – which gives us the ability to provide the highest standard of service to our broad range of customers.”
