NHS Fife has taken delivery of a bespoke Iveco Daily crew-cab 4x4 for off-road assignments and road clearing.
The Iveco Daily 4x4, which is a direct rival to Mercedes-Bnez's Unimog, replaces a five-year old Multicar light utility vehicle and comes with a JA Cuthbertson snow plough attachment and SnowEx 7500 grit spreader.
Jim McIlroy, transport officer for NHS Fife, explains: "We wanted to replace the Multicar with a vehicle we could utilise fully across our operations. It's going to prove especially useful for more arduous applications where a regular car or truck just isn't suitable."
McIlroy adds that, during the summer months, the Daily will be used as a maintenance vehicle for the grounds of its facilities. The 5.5-tonner is expected to cover around 10,000 miles a year and will be maintained on a six-year repair and maintenance contract by Iveco dealer AM Phillip.
