First Mercedes-Benz tractor units for IAE

Steel fencing manufacturer IAE has bought its first Mercedes-Benz tractor units, adding two Actros trucks featuring BigSpace cabs to its fleet.

They were delivered to the Stoke-on-Trent company by the local branch of Dealer Roanza Truck & Van. IAE has a mixed fleet of 20, including Iveco Stralis Hi-Ways and Volvo FH models. The trucks feature Truck-Line's Light-Six lightbars.

“We made a decision to stop sourcing all our vehicles from a single supplier,” said MD Frank Klucznik. “Spreading the acquisitions around puts us in a healthier position.” The Actros are delivering products from the company’s Longton factory to wholesalers across the UK, and will each clock-up 120,000km a year.
