Scania's indoor used truck sales centre at Chesford Grange, Warrington, has secured its first sales within a week of opening, with ten units taken by Rugby-based Warrens Warehousing and Distribution (Midlands).

The trucks, all 2015 Scania R450 6x2/4 MNA twin-steer tractor units, are entering service with the 130-strong Warrens Warehousing fleet, distributing food products to supermarket retailers.

Steve Parker, fleet manager at Warrens Warehousing, said: "The experience was brilliant, the centre presents an extremely professional face and certainly enhances the purchasing process.

“I have known the centre's manager, Paul Prewett, for many years and dealt with him on numerous occasions. I know he can be relied upon to do an excellent deal and is a man who stands by his promises.”

According to Parker, the vehicles Warrens Warehousing have bought are low mileage, well presented and competitively priced.

“We will be looking to run them for up to eight years, with each unit covering around 240,000km per annum," he said.

“The quality of used trucks from Scania gives us the assurance we need that they are more than up to the job. We are very satisfied with our purchase.
