Ardent Hire Solutions has taken delivery of five FH tractor units, the first in an order for 32 new Volvo trucks.
The five FH 6x2 tag axle vehicles have been supplied through an arrangement with MC Truck and Bus and long-standing supplier Hanbury Riverside.
They come with Globetrotter cabs, D13K engines that produce 500hp, I-Shift automated transmissions and equipment to meet FORS/Crossrail standards including colour cameras.
The rest will be FH tractor units and FMX 8x2 rigids with Andover Trailers Plant bodywork - a mix of replacement and additional vehicles.
Ardent Hire Solutions, which has 14 UK depots and more than 5,000 telehandlers and excavators available for hire, is looking to double the size of its operations over the next five years.
