MAN has supplied family-run Cheetah Couriers and Logistics with a TGX 26.640 6x2/2 PerformanceLine with XXL sleeper cab.
The truck features a D3876 15.2-litre 6-cylinder engine and TipMatic 12-speed gearbox, twin bunks, air management kit, chrome roof lights, air horns, lower chrome lights and leather interior. It will be based out of the operator’s Hemel Hempstead depot, operating in an all-MAN fleet of 35, up to 18 hours a day.
Director Lewis Pritchard said: “We saw this truck when we visited MAN at the CV Show. The colour helped and it was certainly a standout truck at the show.
"We liked it instantly and having talked to our MAN sales executive we were convinced it was worth the extra investment as the residuals at the back end are likely to be significant. “This is our 36th year of trading, the company was established by my parents John and Sue, and they are gradually taking a step back and handing the reins to me and my sister Abi, and this was also a way of marking that.
“We appreciate the flexibility in service opportunities we receive through our dealer John Arnold Commercials in Bedford.” MAN sales executive Scott Munton said: “The expected residual value of these trucks alongside the efficiency and power they deliver, help make them an even more attractive package.”
