Fortec joins Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme

The Fortec Distribution Network has become an associate member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, TfL’s London-based accreditation scheme.

Fortec said that while associate status recognised its commitment to sustainable distribution in the capital, it would make use of experiences gained via the scheme throughout its national network.

Fortec is currently undertaking an ambitious revamp of its IT systems.

Fortec has 72 member hauliers operating in the UK.

Carefoot steps forward with SDC

Basildon Timber gets more payload with Renault Range D

Basildon Timber has put into operation a 10-tonne Renault Range D as a replacement for an 06-plate 7.5-tonne Midlum.The truck is powered by a 210hp Euro-6 engine and has been supplied by Renault Trucks Essex with a aluminium flatbed body and a manual gearbox.The timber merchant will use the truck to make deliveries to trade and domestic customers across Essex and London.
