Pallet network Fortec will launch two new services on the back of its move to a new £5m hub later this year.
The first is called Fortec Secure which will enable its members to put high value loads through the network. Director Rod Abrahams says it’s a sector of the market that’s been difficult to target in the past. He adds: “There are companies who are reluctant to put goods through pallet networks because they think they are handled too many times and there’s vulnerability there.
“This will counter that.”
The other new product is Fortec Online which is aimed at the small business sector and allows them to book collections online. Abrahams adds: “Even the small business sector has pallets to move – it may only be one per week but it’s a load and could be a lucrative one.”
It will also introduce online PoDs for its customers this year.
- The company will move into a new 14,000m2 site near Watford Gap after Easter.
